Workspace Menu

Analysis Windows

This option will open up a new Analysis Window.

Please refer to Analysis Window for more information.

New Settings Window

This option opens a settings window. There is no limit to the number of Settings windows that can be opened. Multiple settings windows will allow one to view different parts of the settings window at the same time.  Everything in all settings windows are the same.

Redirect Source

Redirect Sources allows the user to "swap" one source to an alternative one. The same effect could be achieved by the user individually changing the sources used within each tool, however, the Redirect Sources tool allows this to be done in a fraction of the time and ensuring all tools using this source are changed.

An example of this would be if the user has conducted analysis on a *grid created in mXrap, and now instead of this *grid they wish to examine the same analysis on a geological block model imported into mXrap via a CSV.

The columns in the original and the new source table must be the same.  If this is not the case,
Setting Window->Workspace->Redirect Columns
can be used afterwards to redirect to the right columns in the new source.

An example of using the Redirect Source tool. In this instance, the *Grid source is being redirected as the Dense Grid Source.

Redirecting Table

Redirect Table allows the user to "swap" one Table to an alternative one. The same effect could be achieved by individually changing the Tables used within each tool, however, the Redirect Table tool allows this to be done in a fraction of the time and ensuring all tools using this Table are changed.

Example:

In the example below, after redirecting, all tools using the table Events under !/Data Tables will be redirected to using Events under *Home instead.

An example of using Redirect Table.

Redirect Columns

Redirect Columns allows the user to "swap" one a column to an alternative one. This can also be achieved by the user individually changing the columns used within each tool.  The Redirect Columns tool allows this to be done in one instruction and ensuring all tools using this column are changed. Redirect Column can only be used do redirect one column to another in the same table.

An example would be if the user wishes to examine Moment Magnitude as a substitute to Local Magnitude. Swapping these columns would allow the user to examine analysis such as System Sensitivity, Gutenberg-Richter, Magnitude-Time etc. all using moment magnitude.

All the items in both the Setting Window and the Analysis Window that refer to the columns will be changed but the configuration files will not be saved automatically.  This allows the user to revert some of the tools back to the original and save only a selected group of items.

To use the previous example again, the user may choose to revert the Magnitude-Time time chart back to the Local magnitude, while keeping the changes to the Hazard assessment calculations.

Please note: it would be prudent to save a backup copy of your root folder before using this function

Move Tools Into Folder

Move Tools Into Folder, enables user to relocate multiple tools from different folders into a destination folder. Move Tools Into Folder, is handy when user wants to re-organize or re-arrange tools and it also reduces the chance of introducing errors along the process.

Note:

1. All relocation of the tools are irreversible and the configuration files will not be saved automatically.

2.  All modified items within Settings and Analysis Window must be saved before Rename Tools' Folder can be used again.

3. It is highly recommended that user should make a backup copy of their Root folder before using this tool.

Example: To move Row Calculation in Rename test 1 folder and Row Cal 2 in Rename test 2 folder to a new folder called Rename test 3 under sub-folder new tools.
