Settings

The settings tab contains the option to change the background colour (from its white default) to an alternative colour.

The orientation of Plan section and elevation (XY, XZ and YZ) projections can be manipulated.  These settings will only take effect the next time the 2D projection view is called after these settings have been changed.

“Depth Peeling” can be switched on or of.  Depth peeling is a 3D rendering technique that can improve the appearance of transparent marker and survey blending.  It involves drawing the same things multiple times in the same way as peeling an onion involves peeling layers away multiple times.  As a result it will slow down the display.

Depth Peeling is not necessary if there is only one transparent item on the screen (e.i one surveys, or one set of points which only has one range of marker+colours).

Switch on the Depth peeling if the resulting rendered images look weird, for example, if distant points appear to be plotted on top of closer points.
