Configure Page - Chart


Axes

The chart axis can be configured in Analysis Window->Panel->Page Settings->Configure Page->Axis.

The Bottom, Top, left and right axis, each has its own dedicated space for in the window.  The following attributes can be changed.

The first basic options include the drop down box to select Linear, Date or Log10 scales, the ability to enable/disable viewing of the axis, and giving the axis a title. These will need to be configured for any new chart.

Additional options include the ability to rotate axis labels (particularly useful if the labels are lengthy), change the approximate number of major grid lines, specify maximum, minimum, reference and step for axis values.

Alternate labels can be plotted providing a table with the two columns of axis values and alternative value.

"Configure Display Format" allows the user to manipulate the way in which numerical values are shown. This options to include a numeric group separator (e.g. 100,000) and show numbers as; Fixed decimals, Exponentials (1.34e3), or automatic display (Default).


Appearance

The Appearance tab allows the user to modify the background colour from its white default.

Within this tab there are also options to configure the appearance of the major and minor grid lines. These options include enabling/disabling, colour, and line thickness.

There is also the option to change the mXrap logo position should it interfere with analysis.

Series

Series can be added to new or existing charts in the following manner.

  1. Make sure that view area of the 3D view that you would like to change is currently active.
  2. Open Analysis Window->Page Settings->Configure Page->Series Tab
  3. Click Add
  4. Fill in the required Data Inputs. Namely, the Table, Filter, ID and a column to be plotted on the X and Y. X and Y can be defined by the user to be bottom or top and left or right respectively.
  5. Input a Series Name.

The new series will now be visible in a series list in Analysis Window->Panel->Page Settings.  

The series will only become visible in the chart after either the line or marker style for the series is ticked.
