mXrap Tools

mXrap provides several generic data analysis tools for performing calculations and filtering of data.  These generic tools can be combined to performed complex analysis.  All the Analysis tools provided with the standard root folder are softcoded using the generic tools provided in the settings windows.

The structuring of data in mXrap is done in Different Tables as it is done in different databases. The generic tools in the software read columns from these different tables and export the results to the same or another table.  No data is ever overwritten by any of the tools.

As an example if you would like to calculate the Moment Magnitude from the Moment. A calculation will be used. Into the calculation is imported the “Moment” column from the “*Events” Table. The results will be exported back to the *Events Table into a column with the same name as the tool that created that column.

Built-in component in mXrap are denoted by an asterisk in front of the name for example, *Home and *Events.

The flow diagram below illustrates the interaction of the different tools in mXrap that can be used for manipulating data.  Colours are used to help distinguishing between the components.  Tools that creates a new table are shown in yellow/brown. Different type of calculation tools are shown in blue. Filters are shown in green and marker styles are shown in pink.
