Survival Function Minimums

Survival Function is the is essentially a mathematical algorithm that characterise a function.

Under Construction

Variables

Resolution: This value determines the brackets of values used in each minimum calculation.

Reference Value: Reference value for calculation of a reference point.

Floor Number: At least this number of items in the dataset will be above minimum. This is a threshold value given to the algorithm above which it will start looking for the minimum value

Floor Fraction: At least this fraction of items will be above the minimum. This is a threshold value given to the algorithm above which it will start looking for the minimum value.

Results:

b: This slope of the survival function.

delta b: Step size for calculation?

Min Index: Number of items > than minimum?

Minimum: Minimum of survival function (for example, Mmin.)

N at ref: Computed number of items at a reference.

Setting up survival function calculation requires a table with a "value" column. ( e.g. events table with magnitude.) This table can be grouped (e.g. events table with magnitude for each group). Variables for resolution, reference value, Floor number and floor fraction must also be entered.
