Although the final total energy released has value, the shape of the cumulative Energy graph inherently has no meaning.
This is primarily because accumulating a logarithmic parameter results in a curve with a somewhat random shape as a larger event completely dominates.
Accumulating the cube-root of Energy (as is sometimes done in crustal seismology) makes more sense but we found that there is no extra information contained in that.
The important information as far as Energy is concerned is the sum of total radiated energy following the blast. This is shown in the blast table.
